In the Autumn of 1944, the American attack falters in the infamous Hurtgen Forest, delayed by terrible weather and stiff German resistance. As his company attempts to capture a small village, an American soldier born in the Mexico, but raised in Texas, crawls through an enemy minefield to capture to German machine gun nests holding up his unit.
